| Bill Eugene Benson, one of two sons of Twila Evelyn (Bell) Benson and Billy Eugene Benson, was born May 15, 1965 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Bill grew up the Omaha area and graduated from Ralston High School in 1983. He began work in the maintenance department at Lozier’s Omaha manufacturing plant. Later, Bill moved to Malvern, Iowa where he met Christy Hansen. They continued to live in Malvern until moving to Pacific Junction, Iowa in 2007.
Bill loved spending time with his children, his dog Brady, and enjoyed NASCAR, the Denver Broncos, and teddy bears. Bill died at his home in Pacific Junction on September 7, 2008, at the age of 43 years, 3 months, and 23 days. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Benson and half brother, Richard Van Arsdel. He is survived by his companion Christy Hansen; children Brandie Benson and Robert Benson; and Christy’s daughter Desiree Hansen, all of Pacific Junction; mother Twila Benson of Omaha, NE; brother Brian Benson of Wahoo, NE; half brothers Mark Van Arsdel and wife Vonda of Omaha, Quain Van Arsdel and wife Michelle of Peoria, AZ, John Benson and wife Laura of Omaha; half sisters Lyna Fowler and husband Michael of Leesburg, FL, and Debra Blum and husband Greg of Council Bluffs, IA; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. | ||
