| Keith Rayburn Allensworth, one of four children of Louis Earl and Viva Marie Carter Allensworth, was born at his parent’s home in Henderson, IA on September 13, 1925. Keith grew up in Henderson and graduated from the Henderson Community High School in 1943. Following school, Keith joined the United States Navy where he served as a Storekeeper First Class, stationed in Great Lakes, Il. He was discharged in 1958 and returned to Henderson where he began work for Schildberg Construction Company at the Macedonia, Iowa rock quarry. He and Edith Alice (Harvey) Frank were married in Papillion, Nebraska on December 20, 1958. They made their home in Weeping Water, Nebraska were Keith worked as a carpenter at the area stockyards. Keith retired in 1987 and he and Edith moved to Bellevue, Nebraska. Keith’s health forced him to move to the Nebraska Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in July.
Keith and Edith had been married 45 years when Keith died at the Rehabilitation Center on July 18, 2003. He had attained the age of 77 years, 10 months, and 5 days. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dwight Allensworth. He is survived by his wife Edith of Bellevue, NE; step-daughters Judy Lewis of Macedonia, IA and Joyce Lewis and her husband Richard of Greeley, CO; sister Sharon Golleoffer of Charter Oak, IA; brother Don Allensworth and his wife Alice of Macedonia, IA; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. | ||
