Julia Louise Anderson, daughter of Roscoe Britt and Lorene Matteny Britt, was born September 14, 1932 in Milsap, Missouri and died May 17, 2006 in Perry, Iowa at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 3 days. Julia grew up on a farm east of Des Moines and attended school there. In 1952, she was united in marriage to John “Jack” Anderson and they made their home at Tamarack, Minnesota. They were the parents of five children: Carl, John, Roscoe, Virginia and Marion. She made her home there until returning to Des Moines to be with her mother. After her mother’s death, she made Woodward her home. Julia loved gardening and fishing for sunfish. Julia loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Patty Dorothy; brothers: Tom Britt and Mike Britt. She is survived by her sons: Carl Anderson of Ramsey, Minnesota; John Anderson of Coon Rapids, Minnesota and Roscoe Anderson of Woodward; daughters: Virginia Porter of Perry and Marion Anderson and her husband Brian Weltzin of Woodward; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Bill Britt and his wife Pat of Runnells; Jerry Britt and his wife Pat of Des Moines and Gene Britt also of Des Moines; sister: Annie Sudbrock and her husband Ernie of Hartford;; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. | ||
