Scott Alan Campbell, son of Dean R. Campbell and Margaret (Peg) Lyon Campbell, was born April 20, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa and died June 24, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA at the age of 60 years, 2 months, and 4 days.

Scott graduated from Perry High School in 1965. He served in the Air National Guard from 1967-1972. Scott married Jeanie Marie Smith in 1965. They were parents of 4 children; Holly, Angel, Scott, and Nicole. Scott and Jeanie were blessed with 41 years of marriage.

Scott was a licensed pilot and was a crop duster for many years. He had been employed at Progressive Foundry and later Wiese’s Manufacturing Corp where he was a member of Union UAW 270. Scott enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his dog Bob, playing pool, fishing, and NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Dale and Myrtle Campbell; and daughter Angel Campbell in 1968.

Scott is survived by his wife; Jeanie Campbell; his father Dean Campbell of AZ; and his mother Margaret (Peg) Campbell of Des Moines, IA; son Scott E. Campbell of Truman, MN; daughters Holly Ellerman of Urbandale, IA; and Nicole King (Aaron) of Des Moines, IA; seven grandchildren: Jordan Nevitt of Des Moines, IA; Kaitlyn Ellerman of Urbandale, IA; Ashley Campbell of MN; Connor King of Des Moines, IA, Abigail Ellerman of Urbandale, IA, Tanner and Brayden King both of Des Moines, IA; brother in-law Tom Smith (Lucy) of WI; his parents in-law Richard and Carmon Sandal of Perry, IA; his sister of IN; other relatives; many friends and man’s best friend Bob.
