| | | Wayne, we do not know why you were called away so soon in your life. To us this will always be unclear. We know that the pain will not be washed away in tears and that time will heal. We do know that you'll always be in our hearts, and also now know your resting in the strong arms of Jesus.

He was a member of Vassar High School National Honor Society, and lead his fellow students by representing them in the Vassar High School Student Council. He has been described as a hard worker by holding two summer jobs at Zehnders in Frankenmuth and also working on Hecht Farms in Vassar. "I’m Free"
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
to laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at close of day.
If my parting has left a void
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
ah, yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,
good friends, good times,
a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief,
don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me
God wanted me now:
He set me free.
