Mrs. Dorothy Mattis

Special Services:
Funeral services were held on Saturday January 10, 2009 at the Hanlin Funeral Home. Dorothy was laid to rest at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Pastor James Bruner delivered the funeral message and committal prayers at the cemetery. Her daughter paid a tribute to Dorothy and her son in-law and grandadughter sang "I Can Only Imagine". A close family friend also sang a tribute. Hanlin Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.

Dorothy passed from our world into God's Kingdom early Wednesday morning January 7, 2009 while at the Heavenly Acres Estate Adult Foster Care Home in Flushing MI Dorothy was 62.

Dorothy L. McDougal was born on June 20, 1947 and was the daughter of Ogen & Ruby (Campbell) McDogual. On April 28, 1967 Dorothy married William Mattis, Bill preceded her in death in Februray of 2004. Dorothy was retired form General Motors Grand Blanc Cadillac Divison. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son in-law; Tammy & Tim Weber. Three grandchildren Brianna, Austin, and Trenton. Her mother Mrs. Ruby McDougal, two sisters Sendlenn Jones, Katy & Mike Brush, also three brothers William & Cheryl McDougal, Ogen McDougal, and Rick & Debra McDougal, as well as several nieces, nephew, and many friends. Dorothy is also preceded in death by her father. Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran School, or the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the MAttis family with the arrangements.
