Doanld Byrl Burris Jr of
Millington & Pigeon MI passed away Saturday December 20, 2008 while at the McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Don was 63.
Donald B. Burris Jr was born on March 14, 1945 and was the son of Donald B. & Audrey (Mark) Burris Sr. Don graduated in 1963 from Beecher High in Flint MI. Don went on to Annapolis Naval Acadamy and then served in the US Navy. Don also earned two degree's from the UofM-Flint. He was retired from General Motors Delco Electronic Divison after 33 years of employment. After retirement Don still did Independent Consulting with GM-Powertrain, and with the Chrysler Motor Divison, and finally totally retired in Jan. of 2007.Don had many hobbies, Hamm Radio K8YCT, golfing, watching UofM Football, and most of all raising his four little dogs, Burtus, Olivia, Mollie, and Roscoe. Don loved spending time at the lake house on Sand Point, near Caseville MI. Most of all though Don loved spending time with his family. Don married Janet Dimond-McComb on May 17, 1986, and they have celebrated 22 years of marriage. Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He leaves to cherish his memory. Wife; Janet, children; Jeanne, & Cory Johnson, Valerie Burris, Michael & Sherri Burris, Pamela & Joseph Lawe, and Brian & Julie McComb. Twelve grandchildren, his mother; Mrs. Audrey Burris. A sister and brother in-law Linda & Tom Poplick, and a brother Richard Burris. As well as other extended family and friends. Don is preceded in death by his father Donald B. Burris Sr. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the family with the arrangements.
