Ray passed away suddenly Thursday morning October 23, 2008 while working on his farm, Ray was 68.
Raymond L. Brown was born on April 18, 1940 and was the son of Lowell C. & Lanora (Smith) Brown, and has been a Millington resident his entire life. On January 9, 1981 Ray married Miss Nancy Sohn, he and Nancy have celebrated 27 years of marriage. Ray has been employed with Walther Farms, and for many years has owned and operated his own farm. He leaves his wife Nancy, children; daughter & son in-law; Misty & TJ Shaver , son John Brown, and grandson Kane Shaver. Mother Mrs. Lanora Brown, two sisters and a brother in-law; Shirley Mays, and Sharon & Michael Coward. His extended family; mother in-law Mrs. Hilda Sohn, brothers and sisters in-law; Kenneth Sohn, Margaret Shaber, Gerald & Cindy Sohn, and Diane & Dave Sebert. Leaving also many nieces, nephews, and many friends. Ray is also preceded in death by a son Justin, father Lowell (Punk) Brown, brother Jerry Brown, brother in-law Joseph Mays, and father in-law Norman Sohn. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Brown family with the arrangements.
