Fred passed away early Friday morning September 12, 2008 while at the Brian's House in Davison MI., Fred was 74.
Frederick I. Hornung Jr was born in Millington on July 14, 1934 and was the son of Frederick I & Evelyn(Lutze) Hornung Sr. On January 14, 1955 Fred married Miss June Hoard, Fred and June have celebrated 53 years of marriage. In 1982 Fred retired from the Buick Motor Divison of General Motors after 30 years of employment. Fred was a member in good standing with the UAW Local 599, and was a past member of the Vassar FOE. Fred leaves to cherish his memory his wife June, four children; Julie & Frank Ramiller, Laura & Daniel Perrault, Janice & Stephen Essenmacher, and Joann Gaissert, eight grandchildren; Nick, Erica, Alina, Stephanie, Allyson, Mark, Daniel, and Shane, and his great granddaughter; Kelli. Fred also leaves two brothers; Jerry & David Hornung, and a sister Maryann DuBreuil, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
