Frank passed away Friday morning September 5, 2008 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw MI. Frank was 69.
Frank is survived by his wife of 42 years Gloria (Bader) Harris and his children. Frank Jr. & wife Mindy Harris, Christine Harris-Knapp, Ben Harris, Vincent Harris, James Harris, Sherry Jo Harris, Gabrielle Harris, Teeia Harris - Gordon & husband Roger, Erik Harris, Gareth Harris, Jessica Harris, and Cory Harris who is still living at home. Frank was known to his five grandchildren; Nicholas & Bristol Wilson; Rebecca Harris; Zander & Aliyah Gordon as Boompa. Frank also leaves five brothers and three sisters; Ron & Nancy Harris, Dave & Nancy Harris, Don & Char Harris, Delbert & Pam Harris
Albert & Betty Harris, Alberta & Fred Hess, Rosetta & Jim Abbott, and Sharon Case. Frank leaves also many nieces,nephews, extended family and many friends. He leaves special friend and also his brother in-law Pat Finn, dear friends Bob & Jean Campbell,and his cherished companion (a Shih-Tzu) Peggy.
Frank retired from Eaton/Grede Foundry in Vassar after 30 years of dedicated service. He also worked for 18 years with the Wahley's Children's Center of Flint, and for five years as a bus driver for the Vassar Public Schools. Frank was a life time member of the NRA, he loved hunting, and camping with family and friends. He will be remembered for many things but most of all the talent he had for drawning and wood working. Frank loved to meet and talk to people where ever he went, and once you met him you instantly became his friend. His warm smile and his always ready and willingness to help will be missed by many but after the fight he put forth with his illness everyone knows Frank is at rest.
