Bessie Ingram

Bessie passed away Friday morning April 4, 2008 while at the Brians House Hospice Center in Davison MI. Bessie was 94.

Bessie Thompson was born in Mississippi on October 28, 1913 and was the daughter of Luther & Minnie (Jones) Thompson. Bessie had been a Millington resident for most of her life. She and her late husband Samuel who preceded her in death in April of 1969 rasied their family here in the Millington area. Bessie was very active in the community. She was a Blue Star Mother, a sister of the Order of the Eastern Stars. She was an honory member of the Methodist Womens Society, and had been a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Vassar. Bessie leaves four daugher and two son in-laws; Barbara & Roland Baxter, Alice Roach, Martha Fuester, and Nancy & George Davidson. Several grandchildren and several great, and great-great grandchildren. Bessie also leaves a siser in-law Mrs. Katherine Thompson and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Besides her husband Bessie is proceeded in death also by two son's David & Samuel Ingram, son in-law Ralph, and two brothers Frederick, and Marion Thompson. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the Brians House Hospice Center or to the Commission for the Blind.
