Guiles L. Berry

Guiles passed from this world into God's Kingdom early Monday morning February 25, 2008 with his family at his side while at the Genesys Hospice Center in Goodrich MI. Guiles was 85.

Guiles L. Berry the son of J.B. & Cleo (Scott) Berry was born in Flint Mi. on December 22, 1922. On April 1st, 1950 Guiles married Miss Nilah Olvey, and together Guiles and Nilah would have celebrated 58 years of marriage this coming April. Guiles as many young men served our country during WW-II in the US Army. He served in Pacific Theater, Australia, New Guinea, the Philippines, and in the American occupation of Japan. When he returned home from his service to our country Guiles went to work for General Motors in Plant #36 of the Buick Motor Division as a precesion grinder. He retired in 1976 after 30.7 years of employment. Guiles was a mamber of the Fostoria I.O.O.F Lodge, the Lapeer Encampment, and was a life member of the Millington I.O.O.F Lodge. Guiles leaves to cherish his memory wife Nilah, two daughters, and one son in-law; Shelia & Bob Hebner, and Sherrill Burrill. Grandchildren, Corey & Joan Hebner, Scott & Christy Hebner, and Nicole & Christion Bowman. Great grandchildren Kyle & Derek Hebner, Jacob Yost, and Haley Bowman. Guiles also leaves other extended family, and friends. He is also precededin death by a twin brother Miles, a sister Clara Wildfong and his parents.
