Ed passed away late Sunday evening February 17th, 2008 at his Millington residence, Ed was 93.
William Edwin Brummett was born September 6, 1914 in Detroit Mi., and was the son of Frank & Sarah (Grotte) Brummett. Growing up in Detroit Ed graduated from the Henry Ford Trade School. On December 25, 1941 Ed married Miss Esther Kitelinger of Millington Mi., and together Ed and Esther have celebrated 66 years of marriage and made Millington their home. Ed retired in 1980 from the Tuscola County Road Commission after 30 years of employment. When he retired he was working as a stores clerk for the county garage. Ed was a long time member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Vassar. He served the church in many ways through the years he served, as an Elder, a Deacon, and served on many of the church boards. Ed leaves to cherish his memory: Wife; Esther, son and daughter in-law Kelvin & Janice Brummett. Four grandchildren; Andrew Brummett, Jennifer Brummett, Carrie Merth, and Jeanna Mason. Ed leaves also several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He is also preceded in death by a son Clayton, and two brothers, Clarence F. and Henry A. Brummett.
