James Franklin Auxier
James Franklin Auxier, 81, of Elkview passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, surround by his family at his daughters home after a long extended illness. He was born on August 14, 1930 to the parents of Troy and Myrtle Auxier.
James was retired from FMC Chemical as a maintenance supervisor. He was a veteran of the Korean War. James was a member of the VFW Post 8516 and a member of the Scottish Rites in Charleston and a Mason with Clendenin Lodge 126. James was a former member of the Antioch Advent Christian Church and worked with the young people.
He was a member of the Elk Valley Trappers and Muzzle Loaders Association. In the past he was the C/O Founder of the Friday night jam at the Elkview Community Center. He loved to hunt, fish and hunt mushrooms.
James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Troy Auxier, sisters, Marie Cummings and Lucille Brisdendine.
Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Sandra Humphreys and husband Bo of Cross Lanes

Grandson Christopher Phillips and wife Stephanie of Warner Robins, Ga.

Great grandchildren Christopher Cole Phillips and Griffin Gage Phillips of Warner Robins, Ga.

Step grandchildren Michael and Katie Humphreys and step great grandchildren Sydnie Skidmore, Kelsea Humphreys of Cross Lanes.

Sister-in-law Erma Auxier of Goode, Va.
Special sister-in-law Helen Jones of Orlando, Florida.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Dr. John P. Richards and staff of Big Chimney, Dr. Jash Thakkar and Dr. Adif Rahman of Charleston, Gentivia Home Health and the Kanawha Hospice of Charleston.
Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at the Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Harris and Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be in the Melton Cemetery, Elkview.
Friends may call from 6-8 pm Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 at the funeral home.
