| CHESAPEAKE – Evelyn Charnock Shrieves, 90, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Boulevard, went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2009 in Chesapeake. A native of Cherrystone, VA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Virginia Smith Charnock and the wife of the late Carlton D. Shrieves. She was a member of 316 Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Andrea S. Phelps and her husband, Guy of Chesapeake, Jena S. Stout and her husband, David of Corpus Christi, TX, and Martha S. Bonney and her husband, Blaine of Virginia Beach; a son, Rev. Carlton T. Shrieves and his wife, Nina of Williamsburg; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great granddaughters. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, with Rev. Jim Wolfcale and Rev. Dave Libengood officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to 316 Church, www.316church.org.
