VIRGINIA BEACH- John Leonard Glazebrook, 74, of the 3000 block of Glastonbury Drive, passed away September 7, 2009 in Virginia Beach. A native of New Jersey, he was the son of the late Lester and Elizabeth Cherry Glazebrook. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a self-employed contractor and a volunteer with the Virginia Aquarium.

He is survived by two daughters, Marie Crow and her husband Robert of Virginia Beach and Julie Hendershot and her husband Raymond of Chesapeake; one son, Larry Davie of Fredricksburg; three grandchildren, Kris Davie, Bobby Crow and Haylee Crow; three sisters, Mary Mason of Sedley, Virginia Jones and Patricia of Virginia Beach; three brothers, William Glazebrook, Joseph Glazebrook and his wife, Linda of FL, and Nick Glazebrook of Chesapeake; he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law and best friend, Bob Jones and the mother of his children, Geneva Glazebrook.

A graveside service will be Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 1 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park with Rev. Ernest Trueblood officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake and would also like to express a special thank you to Sentara Hospice.
