Dorothy Burke, 94 of Rt. 212 died Monday April 11, 2011 at the Kingston Hospital. She was born February 9, 1917 in New Haven , CT daughter of the late Reese and Mabel DeVall Smith Sr. A native and life long area resident, Dorothy was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. Many years ago she had been a nurses aide at Benedictine Hospital.
Surviving are her daughter Melody Lampert of Hurley and a son Thomas Burke of Prattsville. 7 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren also survive. She was predeceased by her siblings: Louise, Winifred, Arthur, Donald, and Reese Smith.
A family graveside service will be held at the Hudler Cemetery, Rt. 28 Mt. Tremper.
