Ronald Mathew Hetzel, Jr., 45, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 29, 1964, in Erie, PA, he was the son of Ronald Mathew Hetzel, Sr. of Spartanburg and the late Joyce Virginia Laase Hetzel and the husband of Kimberly Lissa Carnes Hetzel. He attended the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father are two daughters, Natalie and Bailey Hetzel of the home; a brother, Brian Hetzel of Andover NH; two sisters, Kristina Jones of Red Cross, NC, and Janice Hetzel of Walnut Cove, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2009, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2009, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Andy Case. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Natalie and Bailey Hetzel Educational Fund, c/o any First Citizens Bank.

The family is at the home.
