Lottie Guy, 89, of 300 Farley Street, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Inman Health Care. Born December 10, 1918, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Laura Ada Dickson Nicholls and was the last surviving member of her family. She was first married to the late Marvin Woodrow Ivey and then to the late Clarence Eugene Guy. Mrs. Guy worked at Spartan Mills for 33 years and was a member of Green Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Thomas Earl Ivey of Duluth, MN; three daughters, Nancy R. Harmon and Frances C. Waldrop, both of Spartanburg, and Mary L. Elliott of Calhoun, GA; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2008, at Green Street Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Moore. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P.O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304; to Inman Health Care, 51 N. Main Street, Inman, SC 29349; or to Alzheimer’s Association, 901 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
