> Her loving family announces the passing of C. Lorraine Voight on Wednesday
> morning, January 18, in Oshkosh.
>
> Lorraine was born in Oshkosh on February 2, 1917, the daughter of Henry and
> Adabelle (Rutherford) LeRoy. They preceded her in death. She is the third
> of six children: Helen, Lillian, Lorraine, Barbara, Jo, and Lois. She is
> the last of her siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.
>
> Lorraine is also preceded in death by her spouse of many years, Floyd
> Voight. They enjoyed adventuring together, traveling and trekking
> extensively on business and pleasure. Lorraine applied her artistic vision
> and consummate design skills to multiple projects they developed.
>
> Lorraine has three loving daughters: Letty Perk of Oshkosh, Mary Jo
> McNamara (Tucker) of Solvang, California, and Kitty Miller (Mark) of
> Ruston, Louisiana.
>
> Their progeny are Laurie Judas, Lisa Luck, Chris Willy, Erica Jo Ryder, Matt
> Loftus, Kelly Reagor, and Hillary Miller.
>
> Lorraine also rejoiced in the arrival of several great grandchildren:
> Melissa, Jonathan, Brandi, Katie, Ethan, Jacob, Noah, Zachary, Caleb Jo,
> Avery, Grace, and another Jacob. All delighted in visiting her at her
> lakeside home in Oshkosh.
>
> Two great-great grandchildren, Adalaine and Isabella, complete Lorraine’s
> immediate family tree.
> Lorraine’s extended family, such an integral and important part of her life,
> includes many wonderful nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law, Roy Bartel,
> and Letha Ehrenberg, her first cousin.
>
> It would be remiss not to mention her constant companion of twenty-two of
> her last years, her Himalayan cat, Le Chat. They lived and traveled
> together.
>
> Lorraine was more than involved in local non-profit organizations. For many
> years, she was an active Paine Art Center and Gardens volunteer, and an
> Oshkosh Public Library Friends of the Library member. She was also a
> long-time and active member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. Most Blessed
> Sacrament Parish, familiarly known as St. Mary’s, also appreciated her
> volunteer efforts.
> .
> Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt,
> great-aunt, great-great aunt: Lorraine is that and much more.
>
> Lorraine is a friend and compatriot to many. She so enjoyed the many and
> various friendships she forged throughout her life. Her sense of humor and
> zest for life made her an active participant in her surroundings throughout
> her many decades. She blossomed wherever she was planted.
>
> Lorraine is sorely missed by all who know her and love her.
>
> In her final days, she was supported by the loving ministrations of Affinity
> Hospice.
>
> Lorraine’s family encourages donations to Father Carr’s Place and to the
> local Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
>
> Family and friends will gather to celebrate Lorraine Voight on Saturday
> morning at the St. Peter’s Worship Site of Blessed Sacrament Catholic
> Church. Visitation will commence at nine o’clock, and mass will be
> celebrated at eleven o’clock
