Mary Elizabeth Brown, age 21, of Oak Hill, Ohio went to be with Jesus Friday, February 2, 2007. A miracle gift from God, Mary arrived in this world Thursday, November 28, 1985 to parents John W. Brown and Cathy L. (Adkins) Brown and a big sister Cynthia L. Brown.
In addition to her parents and sister she is survived by grandmother, Mary K. Brown (Kate) and boyfriend, Billy Young. Mary also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Mary graduated from Oak Hill High School in 2004, with honors; she obtained her associates degree in May 2006 and was currently pursuing a Bachelorís degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from the University of Rio Grande. She was a member of Zeta Theta Chi (Zox) Sorority as well as a Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) lilí sis. Mary was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society and employed by the Office of Admissions at the University of Rio Grande.
When Mary arrived in Heaven she was greeted by maternal grandparents, James Adkins and Sue (Carney) Roberts and paternal grandfather John E. Brown. Mary was there to greet her close cousin Michael J. Brown, age 21, who arrived one day later on February 3, 2007.
Friends are invited to call at the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene, on Powell Drive, Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 2 to 8 p.m. with the funeral service to be held on Thursday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the church, officiating will be her uncle the Rev. Dan Brown. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mary Elizabeth Brown scholarship fund at Atomic Employees Credit Union in Waverly, Ohio 45690.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home.
