Clay Edward Howell, age 74 of Jackson passed away Sunday, October 9, 2005 at Holzer Medical Center, Jackson. He was born in Pyro, Ohio July 11, 1931 to the late Wells and Ethel (Miller) Howell. He was a graduate of Oak Hill School in 1949; a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Trowel Lodge Masonic Order, Appalachia Old Car Club, former Deacon and Elder of the Presbyterian Church and a 51 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Huntington West Virginia.
He is survived by wife of 54 years, Patricia (Markham) Howell of Jackson, daughter, Vicki (Roy) Williams of Jackson; granddaughter, Lindsay (Chris) King of Jackson; great grandson, Evan Christopher King; sister-in-law Eva Howell of Oak Hill, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan and Duane Roberts and Sharon and Ronald Dalton all of Jackson; nieces and nephews, Sally Johnston, Brian Howell, Jason Howell, Michael Dalton, Melissa Boucher, Melinda Dalton, Daniel Roberts, Jon Miller, Don Miller, Danny Miller and his special neighborhood children friends.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister, Enid Miller (2004), brothers Don (2003), Leroy (1961) and infant brother Lawrence.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. David Downton officiating burial to follow at a later date. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
