Dail Elisha Atkins passed away at Jan. 27 2012 at the VA Hospital in
Dayton Ohio after a brief illness.
He was born July 11, 1941 in Sandy Hook, KY. After moving to Ohio
with his family in 1947, he attended school in Coalton Ohio. He was the
youngest child of Jason B. and Maude Atkins.
He entered military service in the U.S. Army. His work years include
various job descriptions. One of his great loves was the Nascar
circuit where he was involved in writing and photography of the
events. He also delighted in helping to deliver Christmas dinners to
needy families.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by, brothers Donald and John
and a sister Mary Lou Lovern. He is survived by his sisters Ethelyn
Dolph and Anna Ruth Williams, brothers Jason Dexter and Emel along
with many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral with Pastor Jorge Anido officiating. Burial will follow in Coalton Memorial Gardens.
