Maxine Louise (Gibson) Toth age 84 of Jackson died Wednesday (December 21, 2011) at 'Heartland of Jackson'. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Richardson and Bess Gibson. She enjoyed a long career as a school teacher and after retirement she enjoyed traveling both in the United States and Europe. Her favorite place on earth, besides her family farm in Jackson Co. Ohio, was Ocracoke Island, NC, where she and her late husband, John K. Toth, vacationed yearly.
She and John were married nearly 60 years. She is also preceded in death by her siblings James Gibson and Norma Walker.
She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, Red Hat Society and the Water Babies exercise group.
She is survived by her children John (Kathie) Toth Jr. of St. Petersburg, Florida and Andrea (Mike) Clark of Oakmont, Pennsylvania; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jim) Bailey, Brandy Williams, and Joshua Clark; 5 Great grandchildren: Morgan, Cameron, Brianna, Chloe, and Trey; 1 niece, Linda Gibson Clark, and 3 nephews: Jim Gibson, Gary Gibson and Timothy Walker.
On Friday evening December 30th, there will be a memorial service. Visitation for friends and family will begin at 6:00 with service following from 7:00-8:00 at Antioch Christian Church with Pastor Larry Boggs officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Antioch Christian Church.
