Eleanor G. Osborne, age 94 of Jackson passed away on December 3, 2011 at Jenkins Memorial in Wellston. She was born April 20, 1917 in Wyandot County and moved with her family to the Jackson area in 1922. Eleanor was a member of the Jackson Christ United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey; her parents Ralph and Gertrude Cherrington; three brothers, Raymond, Kenneth and Eugene and one sister Elizabeth.
She is survived by three sons, Terry (Regina) Osborne of Jackson, Randy (Evelyn) Osborne of Helena, Al., and Rodney (Jeanne) Osborne, of Hebron, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one sister, Leota (Frank) Haas of Mesa, Az.
Eleanor was a lifelong gardener, spending time year round with her flowers inside and out. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 7, 2011 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home with Diaconal Minister Janie Karl officiating burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday December 6, 2011 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jenkins Memorial Health Facility, 142 Jenkins Memorial Road, Wellston, Ohio 45692.
