this life on October 10, 2011.  At 92 yrs. of age, she was able to live

permitted.  She lived most of her life on the family farm on Karr Rd., where
she was born.
In December of 1987, after the death of her husband, Densil, Velma Jeane
moved to her apartment at the Cambrian in Jackson.
Her first marriage was to Pearl H. Mercer and several years after his
passing, she was united in marriage to Densil R. Rogers and they were
blessed with one son, Ray K. Rogers.
Velma Jeane’s Christian life was her priority which included helping
friends, relatives and neighbors in any way she could.
Besides being a member of the Fourmile Christian Church, Velma Jeane always
enjoyed quilting and sewing and was a member of the “Buckeye Stitchers”
quilting club and the Jackson Senior Citizens.  She always took pride in her
home and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
