Arthur F. Blackburn, age 68, of Oak Hill, passed away Friday. March 11, 2011 at his home. He was born August 29, 1942 in Pikeville Kentucky to the late Willard and Della (Gannon) Blackburn.
He is survived by daughter, Cindy (Raymond) Alley; son, Jeffery Blackburn; brothers, Gary Blckburn and Lary Blackburn; and sister, Arlene (Blackburn) Broffard. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kristian (Brian) Loar, Kourtney (Jerry) Loar and Raymond (Kala) Alley, nine great grandchildren, and many loving friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Judy Elaine (Whaley) Blackburn and a brother, Avery Blackburn.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Liberty Christian Center, 97 Center St. in Jackson with Rev Gary Whaley and Rev Burley Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Oak Hill. Friends may call Monday, March 14, 2011 at the church from 4 pm until the time of the service on Tuesday.
