Everett E. (Gene) Rinehart, age 71 of Jackson, Ohio passed away at O.S.U. Medical Center on Saturday July 10, 2010 following a brief illness.
Gene was born February 6, 1939 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Gilbert (Gig) and Marquerite (Tatman) Rinehart.
He graduated from Chillicothe High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. He was an employee of Meade Paper Co. in Chilliciothe, Ohio for several years. Gene was also an electrician at the Uranium Enrichment Plant in Piketon, Ohio. He retired from the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at S.O.C.F. in Lucasville, Ohio in 2001.
Gene was an active member of First Baptist Church of Jackson for 30 yrs.
Gene enjoyed beekeeping and was always happy when someone would ask him to help them get started in beekeeping. He was also an avid gardener and enjoyed nature.
Gene loved his family and was always interested in what his grandsons were involved in.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an an
infant brother, Gary Lee Rinehart.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years Barbara (Bobbi) (Shelton) Rinehart, son, David (Patty)Rinehart of Jackson and three grandsons, Nathan, Matthew and Mark Rinehart.
Alos surviving are three sisters, Sharon (Marvin) Grubb of Columbus, Ohio. Dora Rinehart and Carol (Ron) Miner of Chillicothe, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home in Jackson on Tuesday, July 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home in Jackson on Wednesday July 14 at 1:00 p.m.. Internment will follow in the C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio.
