Orville "Larry" Simpson
Orville "Larry" Simpson, 66, was called to his heavenly home on May 9,
2008. Larry was born May 3, 1942 at his lifelong residence on Simpson
Road. He was the youngest son of Orville Leslie and Ida Mae Shook
Simpson. Larry became a member of Victory Chapel Church at a young age
and continued his strong belief in the Christian faith.>
Larry served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged
in 1967. He retired from General Mills in 2002. Following retirement
Larry established a relationship with the local Amish community and enjoyed chauffeuring them.
He married Marlene Sexton August 13, 1961 and into this union, three
children were born, Heidi, Kim and Chris.
Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a devout Jackson Ironmen
football fan.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved sisters
and brother’s in law, Virginia and Lowell Hartley, Iva Lou and Ben
Hutchison and sister in law, Grace Ann Trace Simpson, nephews, Teddy
Simpson, David Simpson George Simpson and George Alan Simpson, Pete
Hutchison and niece Susie Hutchison. Special cousin James Hively and
in laws, William and Jane Sexton.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Marlene, children,
Heidi (David) Kisor, Kim (Jay) Turck, Chris (Jamie) Simpson.
Grandchildren: Andrew, (Carrie) Kisor, Angeleah and Alex-Shae Kisor
and Kendel and Klayton Arthur. Honorary grandchildren Ama and Abram
Wolford. Sisters: Anna (Bill) Butts, Ruth (Heck) Exline, Margie
(Chuck) Hembree, Florence (Sam) Lanford and Shirley (Dave) Backus.
Brothers: Calvin (Marilyn), Eddie (Dorris), George (Naomi) and Ted.
125 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Eisnaugle Lewis Funeral home.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 13, from 2-8 PM, funeral services, Wednesday, May 14 at 1:00 PM. Military graveside services will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Larry Simpson
Scholarship fund, 191 Simpson Road, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
