Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and setiments. It`s been 4 weeks now since Kathi died. Sometimes still i will see something interesting and for a fraction of a second i`ll think i have to remember to tell Kathi. Bittersweet. The last day of Feb i dreamed of her for the first time. Again bittersweet. I always think of her smiling. She was truly happy and content, and i get comfort from that knowledge. My family and friends have made things easier, and i thank them. We had a wonderfull life together. Thanks again. Jacob

To the Hively family, I was so sorry to learn of Kathi's passing. I remember attending elementary school with Sara when I lived in Jackson. I fondly remember Kathi's incredible compassion and strength -- and her friendliness towards me -- during the times when I would visit Sara at your house. She was such an inspiration and such a wonderful person. Her endearing spirit will live on with those of us who knew her forever. My heartfelt condolences and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to here of Kathi's passing. I hadn't seen her since we visited at OSU after her surgery but looked forward to her Christmas letter each year. I'll always cherish the times we shared working at Jenkins Nursing home when we were so young. Kathi was a wonderful person who gave of herself freely and enjoyed her life to the fullest.

Dear Kenny, Amy Jo, Sara Beth, Lauren, Wade and the Holtz Family... Ray and I both, were terriably sad to hear about Kathi's passing on Sunday. She was such a loving, kind person who gave of herself so freely. I remember when we were in high school, you and she were two years ahead of me, and didn't run in the same circles of course. However, when Kathi was around the kids whom were not consid-ered "popular" were never allowed to picked on! She had one of the first "No Bullying Zones"! I think she had the most contagious smiles... when she smiled you had to as well! An amazing person! And, she will be missed; truly, truly missed! I love you all, and will continue to pray for your hearts to be granted peace through your love for Kathi, and each other! Always, RonnyCarol and Ray

Paul and I were saddened to learn of "Kathy's" death. We remember her fondly from her days at Dr. Levine's office. I even remember her as a very active seventh grade cheerleader! With sincere sympathy.

The thing I remember and admire most about Kathi is that she did not let her health problems break her spirit. Most people would have become bitter and given up but she kept going with a positive attitude. I remember in December of 1998 I had just bought a new home. I had not moved in right away but was there daily getting it prepped to move in. I was going through a tough time and Kathi and I had spoke on the phone. I told her I didn't think I was going to put up a Christmas tree that year and she made me promise that I would. I put it up because I knew she would ask. (and she did!) It did make me feel better to look at the sparkling tree and gave me hope. Every year when I put up my tree I think of her. Kathi also helped me out during that tough time in other ways and I will never forget that. I only wish that I would have told her these things and how special she was before it was too late.
