Resident of Redwood City
Passed away peacefully at home in Redwood City with his family
by his side on October 15, 2009. Born in Santo Stefano di Magra, Italy
on July 12, 1924 to the late Umberto and Giovanna Sciandri, Bruno came
to America on December 15, 1954 to make a better life for his family. A member of the Cement Masons Union Local 330, Bruno enjoyed cinematography, opera, old fashioned music and enjoyed vegetable gardening, which he shared with his friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Adelaide; son and daughter-in-law, Carlo and Susan Sciandri; granddaughter, Jennifer Payne; grandson, Vincent Sciandri; nephew, Robert Sciandri; great nephew, Gino and great niece Gina Beal. Bruno was preceded in death by his brother Dante.
Friends may visit Monday, October 19, 2009 after 5:00 pm and are invited to attend a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road , Redwood City . A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 20 at 11:00 am at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1685 Cordilleras Rd. , Redwood City . Interment at Italian Cemetery , Colma.
