William “Bill” Sheppard
Bill was born on July 6, 1947 in San Francisco and passed away on Oct. 5, 2009. He resided in Belmont for most of his life. He attended Carlmont High School and the College of San Mateo . He was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 104 and worked for almost 40 years at Izmirian Sheet Metal in San Mateo . Bill was preceded in death by his father William Sheppard, Jr. Bill is survived by his mother Lila Robertson; 3 sisters Debbie DeLuca, Susie Sheppard and Angel Riley; 3 children Bill Sheppard, Shelly Sheppard and Gina Tipper. He had 4 grandchildren Justin Sheppard, Jacob Tipper, Kayla Tipper and Caitlin Larsen; the 5th grandchild is due in December. He is also survived by his beloved yellow lab-Shylo. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, SF Giants, SJ Sharks and SF 49ers. Bill will be deeply missed but will live on in our hearts forever. The family thanks long time friend Diana Pappas for all her help. A Celebration of his life will take place at Alexander Park in Belmont on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009 from 12 – 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Peninsula SPCA.
