Dorothy Mary Beraldo passed away on July 25, 2009 in Belmont, California. Her husband, Dewey Beraldo passed away just days later on July 28, 2009 - they are together as they would want to be. They were both 83 years young and had been married for 58 years. Mary was born in Alameda, California and Dewey in San Francisco. They grew up in Burlingame, attending Our Lady of Angels church and grammar school. Mary graduated from Stanford University in 1948 with a Bachelors Degree in International Relations; Dewey graduated from San Jose State University in 1951 with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
Dewey was a corporal in the US Army Air Corps in WWII, serving in the Pacific. He worked as a quality control and communications engineer for Lenkurt. He was a member of the San Mateo SIRS and sang in his church choir and folk group for many years.
Mary had her own business as a tax consultant for almost 40 years; she was involved for years with Girl Scouts and AAUW. She loved and was very active in Young Ladies Institute, where she participated in numerous philanthropic activities and action for the betterment of Catholic women.
Mary and Dewey loved square dancing and danced for over 30 years, with the 49rs and other clubs. They taught religious education, led marriage preparation, and organized and managed 'Sandwiches on Sunday' serving lunches at Samaritan House for over 30 years.

Rosary will be held at Crippen and Flynn Carlmont Chapel (1111Alameda de Las Pulgas, Belmont) on Thursday, August 6, at 7pm; viewing from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass the following afternoon, August 7 at 4 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1040 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont.

They are survived by their daughters Christine Beraldo of San Jose, Dorene Beraldo-Burt of Belmont, and granddaughter, Hillary Beraldo-Burt of Chico, CA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Young Ladies Institute (in care of: Virginia Keegan, 1410 Kentfield Ave., Redwood City, CA 94061)
