Joe's accidental death came too soon for this healthy, active man. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him, especially his wife, Florence; children: Joe and Carla Rust, Denise and Craig Heinselman, Marc and Nancy Rust, Tim and Ann Rust; his 14 grandchildren: Scott, Terry, Jennipher, Jessica, Karen, Susan, Luke, Rebekah, Andrew, Ryan, Anthony, Jaime, Taylor and LeeAnn; and 6 great-grandchildren: Emma, Ryan, Clay, Chloe, Kaylea, Noah and Julia due in September.
Joe was raised in Sebastopol, California and lived in Belmont for the last 30 years. He owned and operated Young's Auto Parts store in Redwood City for 34 years. He spent his free hours on the tennis courts, fly fishing and relaxing at his cabin by the sea.
Services will be held for family and close friends on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel beginning at 4:00pm. A Memorial will follow at Twin Pines Park in Belmont at the Redwood Picnic Area. For more information please contact Tim Rust at (510) 910-3660.
