Frank Owen Brinton

Frank Owen Brinton Born December 10, 1913 in Springville, Utah to Josephine Gammell and David Piersol Brinton passed away on July 12, 2009. After a few short days battling pneumonia, Frank was taken home to his Heavenly Father.
Frank graduated Springville High School, attended BYU, and worked construction projects throughout Nevada and Utah. Frank married Ruth Sanford, and had 2 children. After serving in the Navy during WWII he worked at Hunters Point Naval shipyard and the Oakland Naval Supply until retiring.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Sanford Brinton, of 67 years, Sister Harriett Miner, children: Michael (Dana) Brinton, and Ann (Richard) Gomm, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grand children.
Frank has always been one of the funniest, joyous, loving people you could find. He was the kind of person that could tell the best stories and always had a positive outlook on life. His greatest accomplishment was his family with which he always placed high priority on the importance of a quality marriage and good work ethics. Frank always said: “If you have a job, you’re lucky. If you have a job you like, you’re blessed.”
Frank Owen was a beloved Friend, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great grandfather. As a devoted husband he is remembered as the perfect gentleman, always treating his wife with dignity, respect and love.
Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service Friday, July 17, 2009 at 1:00 pm at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery; 32053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA.
