Lorraine Lucero
Born into eternal life on July 11, 2009 at the age of 83.
Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Don Lucero; loving sister of Rita Girouard (William); devoted mother of Lorraine Ritchie (John), Mara Charcho (John), and Bob(Jacqui) and Matt (Nora) Harrigan and stepmother of Rocco (Bev), Lenny (Vickie) and Kenny (Roz) Lucero; proud grandmother to fourteen adoring grandchildren and ten great-grand-children. Lorraine is also survived by cousins in the Bay Area and in Ireland.
A native of San Francisco, Lorraine attended Saint James Grammar School and graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1944. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Caterpillar Tractor Company and Continental Can Company. Lorraine loved people and enjoyed entertaining friends and family in her home. Reading, cooking, gardening and exercising with her friends at water aerobics added to her zest for life. During their retirement years, she and Don were inseparable. They travelled extensively, meeting new people, seeing new sights, and enjoying new cultures.
Throughout her life Lorraine lived her faith. Her love of God and Mary strengthened her during her final days.
All are invited to attend a Visitation at Crippen and Flynn Carlmont Chapel, 1111 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont California on Wednesday, July 15 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Lorraine’s life will be held at Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1040 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, California on Thursday, July 16 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow.
