Dean W. Talboy passed away at his home on June 13, 2009. He is survived by his dearly beloved wife of 66 years Louise; daughter Anne Talboy and her husband Frank Treguboff, sons Dean and his wife Linda, Jim and his wife Gail Clark, sister Elaine Allen, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews survive him. Dean was born on September 9, 1916 in Weiser, Idaho where he grew up on a farm and learned self reliance and a love of the outdoors at an early age. In 1940, after graduating from the University of Idaho with a degree in Forestry, he entered the Civilian Pilot Training Program and received his Instructor Pilot license. He then began a pioneering career in aviation. Dean met his wife Louise while instructing Naval Flight students in Yakima, Wa. In 1943, he went back to work for Pan American World Airways flying China Clipper Flying Boats from Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay. After 33 successful years he ended his career as a Captain in the Boeing 707. He and Louise hand built their home in the hills above Redwood City where they have lived for the past 60 years and raised their 3 children. He and Louise loved traveling the world but especially loved their time in Lowman, Idaho and the Hawaiian Islands. Dean was loved by ALL and will be greatly missed. A Private Celebration of Life was held. Contributions may be mad to: Mission Hospice or American Heart Association.
