Edna Mae Hertling, 88, passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. She was born Oct. 4, 1923 in Perry County, Indiana to Charles and Vina (Carmickle) Humphrey. Edna Mae was a homemaker and had lived in Princeton for the past 58 years, moving here from Evansville. She is survived by a sister, Edythe Hassett of Rising Sun, Ind.; and caring friends, Dean and Sandy Ross, Bill and Charlene McConnell and Charley and Jannie Kiesel. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard, Ray and Ralph Humphrey; and her husband of 56 years, Valentine A. “Bud” Hertling in 2007. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Father Ronald Zgunda officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Garden in Mt. Vernon, Ill. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time on Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
