GARY D. KING, 55 passed away Sunday Aug. 21, 2011 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born in DuQuoin, IL on Jan. 31, 1956 to Oval and Barbara (Morgan) King. He had worked at Amax Coal in Keensburg, IL, in the Tool and Die Department at Rexam and had last worked for Industrial Filter Manufacturers.

He had lived in Princeton since Sept. 1994, moving here from Cartersville, IL. He graduated from High School in Ziegler IL in 1974 and received an Associates Degree from Vincennes University. He enjoyed playing the guitar and collecting coins.

He is survived by his wife, Melody King of Princeton; 2 daughters, Amanda and Andrea King both of Princeton; 1 brother, Jack (Joyce) King of Vienna Austria; 1 niece, Stephanie (Rod) Claros of Houston, TX; and 1 nephew, Jon (Lesley) King of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Aaron Michael King in 2005.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside at 12 noon, Friday Aug. 26, 2011 at the Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville, IL. Burial will follow services. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the services.
