| | | Wilbert M. Aycock, 84, of S. College Street, Kenly died Thursday at Wake Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Sunday September 6, 2009 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Minshew-Coley Funeral Home. Rev. Vernon Grimes and Jim Reed will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Kenly Cemetery.
Mr. Aycock was born in Johnston County July 28, 1925 to the late Albert and Addie Lane Aycock. He was a Veteran of US Army and member of Kenly Presbyterian Church. He retired as a Correctional Officer with the N.C. DOC Central Prison
Survived by his wife, Hilda W. Aycock; daughter, Kathy Aycock Davis and husband Stanley Ray of Kenly; son, Danny Wayne Aycock and wife Mary of Clinton; grandchildren, Danny Wayne Aycock, Jr., Christie Aycock Hensley and husband Dennis,
Jeremy Brian Davis, Jeffrey Barrett Davis; one great grandchild, Julie Warren Hensley
The family will receive friends from1:30 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service.
