| | | Effie Crocker Roberts 86, formally of Flower Hill road Kenly, NC., died Tuesday night, at Wil Med Nursing Home in Wilson, August 25, 2009. She was born in Johnston County on July 31, 1923 to the late Robert and Delia Crocker.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Mt Zion FWB Church which she enjoyed attending and visiting with the people. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Tommie Roberts Sr. She was the last of seven Crocker children. Visitation Friday August 28, 2009 from 7- 9:00 P.M. at the Minshew-Coley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt Zion FWB Church. With Rev. Lewis Godwin, Rev. Eric Vernelson, and niece Rev. Frances Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by one son Tommie Roberts Jr. and wife Becky of Clayton NC. Two daughters Hilda Hare and husband Curtis, of Kenly, and Glenda Boswell and husband Danny of Kenly. Along with 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and several loving nieces and nephews.
