| | | Edna Wiggs Watson, 97, died Friday at the home of her daughter Helen Kleinert of Sherwood Drive Greenville, she was formerly of Kenly. Funeral services were held Monday June 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Springhill Presbyterian Church. Dr. Sefton Strickland and Rev Harry Goodwin officiating. Entombment followed in the Kenly Cemetery.
She was born in Wayne County March 30, 1912 to the late Herbert and Sallie Norris Wiggs.
Surviving, daughter, Helen Kleinert and husband James of Greenville; sister, Guelda Wiggs Peacock of Castles Haynes, NC; 4 grandchildren, Teresa Kupecki and husband Michael, Jim Kleinert and wife Lynn, Jan Bieneck and husband Bjorn, Lorri Andrade; 6 great grandchildren, Chelle Kupecki Poteat and husband Chris, Emily Kupecki, Ellen Kupecki, Anna Bieneck, Nicholas Bieneck and Philip Bieneck; 2 great great grandchildren; cole and Noah Poteat.
Preceded in death by her husband Fred Harvey Watson.
