| | | Walter Eugene Parnell, 78, of Richardson-Bass Road died May 1, 2009. He was born in Johnston County on April 17, 1931 to the late James and Mitchie Atkinson Parnell. Mr. Parnell a Korean War Veteran. Graveside services will be held Monday May 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Kenly Cemetery.
He is survived by wife of 56 years, Janie Peedin Parnell. daughters, Shirley Parnell Huff and husband Larry of Goldsboro, Dale Graves and husband David of Dudley; son Jerry Parnell and wife Joyleigh Radford Parnell of Smithfield; grandchildren, Dorian Graves, Devin Graves, Jenna Parnell, Julia Parnell, Jordan Parnell and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Willie Eugene Parnell.
