| | | Doris Walls Minchew, 81, Memorial Church Road died Monday April 21, 2009. Mrs. Minchew was a loving wife, mother, and Grandmother. Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 22, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at Minchew-Coley Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jasper Renfrow, Rev Peggy Keech, Rev Dwayne Evans will officiate the service. Burial will be Thursday April 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Whaley-Barnes Cemetery.
Surviving family members are her husband Stephen Minchew, son; Larry Stevie Minchew and Gail, daughter Debbie “Twigg” Wilkins and husband Larry, Brother In-laws; Rev Earl Minchew, Hillary Van Minchew Othal Minchew, sister in-laws; Peggy Keech, Linda Sue Toler. Grandchildren; Larry Stevie Minchew Jr. and Amy, Phillip Wayne Minchew and Tonya, Kristie Johnson and husband Jamie, Darren Jones and wife Heather, Shannon Finch, Ashley Summer, and eleven Great-Grandchildren. Special Care giver Eleanor Pitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Elizabeth Raper Walls, brother; Billy Eagles, sisters; Lillie Mae Howell, Hazel Ferrell, Elizabeth Walls, Beatrice Barnes.
The family will receive friends following the service at Minchew-Coley Funeral Home.
