KENLY - James Baker, 75, of College Avenue, died Friday. A funeral service will be held Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Minshew-Coley Funeral Home Chapel. CSM. Jesse C. Butts will be officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Kenly Cemetery. Mr. Baker was born Feb. 22, 1933, in Johnston County to the late Clarence and Viola Mitchell Baker.
Surviving; wife, Beatrice Ruffin Baker; three sons; L.C. Baker and wife Frances, Gary Baker and wife Sylvia, and Alan Baker, all of Kenly; one daughter, Sandra Baker Bass and husband Steve of Lucama; one brother, George Ray Baker; one sister, Pauline Dixon; grandchildren: Michael Baker, Shanna Hodges, L.B. Baker and Trent Bass, one stepgrandson Neal Perry, great-grandchildren: Nikki Perry, Jamie Baker and Waylon Baker.
Family will receive friends today at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m.
