| | | Clara Pittman Kirby, 95, Hwy 222 E., died Sunday January 18, 2009 at Wilson Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday January 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Minshew –Coley Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Reed will officiate.Burial will follow in the Kenly Cemetery
Ms. Kirby was born in Johnston County on July 13, 1913 to the late Thomas Austin and Daisy Edgerton Pittman.A member of Nahunta Friends Church. and a frequently visitor at Kenly Presbyterian Church and the Kenly Methodist Church.A member of Kenly Garden Club and a Avon Representative .
She is survived by daughter-in-law; Caroline Kirby of Kenly; three grandchildren, Austin Kirby, Mark Kirby and Kristen Copeland and husband Kevin; one great grandson, Noah niece Nancy Moore.
Preceded in death by her son,Clarence Austin Kirby and sister, Mary Elizabeth Davis
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home
