| | | Mrs. Lucille Hinnant Snipes, age 98, of Kenly died Tuesday November 25, 2008 at home with her
family. She was born in Johnston County on July 29, 1910 to the late H.A. Hinnant and Mero Jones Hinnant. She was member of Kenly Free Will Baptist Church were she was very active as a Sunday School Teacher and the women Auxiliary. Funeral service were held Friday November 28, 2008, at 7:00 PM at Kenly FWB Church. Rev. Howard Scott officiated. Family receive friends after the service. Burial followed Saturday November 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Kenly Cemetery.
Surviving family, son Joseph Millard Snipes and wife Sue of Kenly; daughter, Phyllis S. Edwards and husband Bobby of Princeton;brother Charles Hinnant of Kenly; grandchildren, Sharon Jones and husband Randy, Donna Jones and husband Ken, Mary Jo Grantham and husband Reggie, Kristi Sue Aycock and husband Brad;great-grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Christina Jones, Joey Grantham, Trey Jones, Brandon Jones, Matthew Grantham, Hannah Aycock, Ethan Aycock.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Millard Snipes, Sr. and sisters, Clara Edwards, Marie Edwards and brother, J.P. Hinnant.
