| | | Mary Delphia Harper, 104, died March 28, 2009 at Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Born June 25, 1904 to Sam & Ida(Griffith)Hillhouse. She married J.T."Tol" Harper in the early 1920's in Missouri. They moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in the mid 1920's where she lived the rest of her life. She loved Gospel singing and traveled all over Oklahoma & other states to sing. She attended Baptist churches throughout her life.
She is survived by two sons, Hervil Harper & wife Jocelyn of Langley, Oklahoma, Ralph Harper of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, twenty-six great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. "Tol" Harper in 1980, a son, Hershell, four grandchildren, one great-grandson, two brothers, and five sisters. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the First Baptist Church Broken Arrow and burial will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.
