 | Dr. Michael E. Carlson, Ed.D. C.E.O. Dr. Michael E. Carlson has been associated with the funeral homes since 1962. He is married to Karen and has two children, Kelly and Brad, and two grandsons, Jacob and Samuel. Mike has been very active in the community over the years. He enjoys golf and reading and is a member of St. Colette Church in Brunswick. |
 | Patrick E. Carlson Master Embalmer Patrick E. Carlson, Master Embalmer, took an early interest in the family business. After attending Hiram College, he enrolled and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1972. He is the master embalmer for all of three funeral homes. He and his wife Patricia live in Brunswick and enjoy walking, the outdoors, and spending time with grandchildren. Patrick has two children, Trevor who is a Funeral Director and Embalmer and Vanessa who resides in New Orleans. He is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, and the Ohio Embalmers Assocation. He is active in many area group assocations and is a member of St. Ambrose Church in Brunswick. |
 | Neil E. Carlson Manager Neil E. Carlson has been with Carlson Funeral Homes since his youth. Neil received his B.B.S. degree from Ohio University in 1978. Currently, he is the manager of the Brunswick location. He is director of public relations and manager of pre-need funeral arrangements. Neil and his wife Jackie have five children, Grady, Brittany, Paige, Nena and Nick. Involved in community service, Neil is a member of the Brunswick Chamber of Commerce and the Advisory Board of the Sun Times and attends St. Martin's Church in Valley City. Away from work, he enjoys athletics and the joy of spending time with his family. |
 | Trevor Carlson Funeral Director/Embalmer Trevor is a newly licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in all three of our facilities. He is the son of Patrick and has grown up in the funeral home business. He graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and enjoys spending time with his family and friends, sports, outdoor activities, and fishing. He is looking forward to being the fourth generation of his family to serve various communities with kindness and compassion. |
| | Marlene Kempson Apprentice Marlene is the newest addition to the Carlson Funeral Homes staff. She is serving her apprenticeship in the Brunswick and Medina Homes. Marlene and her husband Steve live in Medina where they share their home with her mother. They have three daughters, Melissa, Jessica, and Vanessa. Marlene is a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, an animal rescuer, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. |
 | Carleen Carlson Stylist Working with her family since 1982, Carleen started as an EMT for Carlson Ambulance Transport Service. There she served as an apprentice and became a licensed funeral director in 1991. Carleen grew up in Brunswick and after graduating Brunswick High School, she obtained a bachelors degree in fine arts at Bowling Green University. Carleen loves life, people, fine arts, and caring for her son Vaughn Earl. |
 | Renate E. Hornberger Office Administrator Starting as an EMT for Carlson Ambulance Transport Service in 1981, Renate moved to her current position as office administrator in 1991. She and her husband Heinz have four children, Sue, Tom, Irene, and Ilene, and 8 grandchildren. She enjoys her grandchildren, the ocean, and shopping. |
| | Irene Hickman Secretary Irene Hickman has been with the Mallory De-Haven Carlson Funeral Home for over ten years. She and her Husband, Bill live in Windham Township. Irene has 5 children and 7 grandchildren and enjoys being a Grandma, reading, gardening, and the Cleveland Indians. Her dream is to travel across America and see the sights and people in this great land. Although not a Carlson, Irene is proud to work with the dedicated staff, each contributing their best effort to provide a meaningful funeral service to grieving families. |
 | Karen Sue Hamrick Secretary Karen has been a Secretary with the Carlson Funeral Home family since 2001. A West Virginia native, she lives in Medina with her husband Mike and daughter Mikel. Karen attends LaGrange Independent Freewill Baptist Church, enjoys the beach, reading, spending time with her family, and traveling to West Virginia for visits with her family there. |
 | Barbara Tuggle Secretary Barbara is our secretary in the Medina location. She, together with her husband John and children Kurt & Alecia, calls Weymouth, Medina Township home. She enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family, doing landscaping in her yard, and shopping, shopping, shopping! Barb made a committment years ago to dedicate her working time in the health care profession. Now given the opportunity to be a part of the Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services has been an honor. |
 | Harold Kaufman Associate Harold is an Associate with the Brunswick and Medina Funeral Homes. He and his wife Kay reside in Sharon Township. He has three children and seven grandchildren. Harold enjoys collecting stamps, gardening, and a florist by trade. He attends First Christian Church of Medina. |
 | Richard Petrencsik Associate Rich is a retired Cleveland Police Officer residing in Strongsville with his wife Eileen of 40 years. They have three children and 5 grandchildren that he enjoys spending time with. He attends St. John Neumann Parish. |

He is retired from RTA and owns and operates his private airplanes from which he enjoys taking aerial photos. On a beautiful day you can find Jim and his son flying over Northeast Ohio. He resides with his wife and son in Brunswick. |
