| | | Donald L. Heinlen, 86 of Bucyrus, died at his residence, Mon May 7, 2012. He was born July 11, 1925 in Nevada, to the late John and Effie (Starner) Heinlen. He married Mary Ann Shafer June 28, 1958, and she died Feb 9, 1999.
Mr. Heinlen is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters, Ann (Dave) Adkins, Stephan (Kelly Dennison) Heinlen, Thomas Heinlen, Sue (Jim) Mee, all of Bucyrus, 6 grandchildren, Tim (Charma) Schifer, Michelle (Matt) Sebring, Jesseca (Ryan) Tomlin, Joe Adkins, Andrew Mee, Miranda Mee, 6 step-grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Paul and Dan Heinlen.
He graduated from Mt. Zion High School in 1944. Mr. Heinlen worked for Galion Iron Works, and Galion Komatsu Dresser. He was affectionately known as “Freddy” to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns, and OSU fan and enjoyed gardening.
A funeral service will be held Thurs May 10, 2012 at 1:00PM in the BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Bliss officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM Wed. May 9, 2012 and Thurs. Noon until 1:00PM, May 10, 2012 in BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard.
